About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Accounts Clerk to join our Head Office team. You will be part of a specialist team focused on deal costing, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all vehicle transactions. This role offers exposure to a wide range of accounting functions and the opportunity to work alongside Assistant Accountants, Management Accountants, and the Financial Controller.
Whether you're starting out in accounting or bringing prior experience, this role provides a strong platform for growth within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gross Profit Calculation and Analysis: Calculate and record gross profit margins for individual deals by analysing costs, pricing, and revenue from various sources
- Data Management: Utilise software and systems to manage, organise, and interpret financial data, ensuring accuracy and integrity
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in data inputs, calculations, balance sheet reconciliations or reporting
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations
What We're Looking For
- Qualification (or working towards) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is an advantage, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
