As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will be part of the Data Product Team. In this role, you will lead two Data & Analytics project squads, driving the successful delivery of key initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and high-quality outcomes. You will be accountable for both the efficient delivery of projects and the integrity of the technical solutions implemented.

Reporting to the Manager Data product & Enablement, your main accountabilities will include:

Responsibilities or duties

  • Act as the Iteration Manager for two cross-functional Data & Analytics squads
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcases.
  • Monitor squad progress, protect project scope and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data solutions.
  • Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers to maintain team momentum.
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent, and high-performing team environment.
  • Oversee and collaborate with developers and BA to design scalable, fit-for-purpose data solutions.
  • Ensure solutions implemented are fit-for-purpose, technical sounds and in line with data practices and processes.
  • Work in close partnership with the Manager Data Product & Enablement and Data Product Leads, to determine priorities, planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure that delivery plans are aligned with product priorities and business value.
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers, stakeholders and the Data Product Leads on delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies.

Qualifications or requirements

Experience needed

  • Tertiary degree or equivalent experience in a highly analytical discipline (e.g. computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics or related quantitative field)
  • Proven experience in agile delivery leadership, iteration management, or project coordination within a data or analytics environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and developers.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in modern cloud data platform environments with technologies like data warehousing, ETL/ELT tools, data transformation frameworks, and data catalogue solutions
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset with a focus on enabling team success.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  • Passion for data and delivering business value through analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to think creatively and identify innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in agile development methodologies and cross-functional team environments.
  • Understanding of data platforms, tools, and technologies (e.g., SQL, cloud data warehouses, BI tools).
  • Familiarity with delivery tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
