Our client is a growing lending brokerage dedicated to delivering outstanding customer experiences and high‑quality credit outcomes. Partnering with a broad panel of lenders, they specialise in helping clients secure residential lending suited to their needs. As the business expands, they are seeking an experienced Credit Assessor to join their credit and operations team.

About the Role

As a Credit Assessor, you will be responsible for the assessment and decisioning of residential mortgage applications. You'll manage the full credit assessment process — analysing applications, ensuring compliance, communicating outcomes, and providing exceptional service to brokers and customers.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, confident in making sound credit decisions, and motivated to deliver consistently positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse credit applications for individuals across home lending products.
  • Assess financial statements and cash flow to determine serviceability and creditworthiness.
  • Prepare credit submissions and make well-supported recommendations for approval.
  • Liaise with brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve queries.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance with lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of credit assessment processes and documentation standards.

About You

  • 3+ years' experience in credit assessment or residential lending
  • Strong understanding of credit principles and mortgage product features.
  • Proven ability to interpret financial statements and assess serviceability.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications and competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Supportive team with approachable leadership.
  • Exposure to a wide range of lending scenarios and client types.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Modern office with hybrid working options.
  • A business that values quality over quantity — and celebrates success as a team.
