We are seeking a warehouse assistant to oversee warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and hands-on core cutting activities. This is a hand on role, combining operational leadership with day-to-day execution.
You will be responsible for managing warehouse organisation, inventory and logistics while also operating core saw equipment and supporting sample preparation. This role is suited to someone who is organised, safety-focused, and comfortable balancing physical work with coordination and documentation.
The role is primarily based at our Auburn facility, with travel to remote exploration sites as required.
About the Role
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, layout, and organisation
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics of core, equipment, and consumables
- Track inventory, tooling, and consumables and maintain accurate records
- Organise transport to and from exploration sites
- Ensure warehouse and storage areas meet safety, quality, and compliance standard
- Safe and accurate operation of core saw equipment
- Cutting of core samples in line with sampling and quality procedures
- Loading and unloading of core trays
- Operation and oversight of core saw container
- Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements
- Complete pre-start and post-operation checks on core saws
- Perform minor maintenance on saw equipment
- Manage core saw water waste in accordance with training and environmental procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised working environment
- Complete all required quality, logistics, and operational documentation
- Identify and report hazards and contribute to continuous safety improvement
About You
- Previous experience operating core saws or similar equipment (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift licence or willing to obtain
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in additional sample preparation areas
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working on site and travelling to remote exploration locations when required
