Background

For 15 years, Ascot Group has delivered commercial building services across health and aged care, retirement living, education, government, and commercial environments. From complex live settings to large-scale refits and refurbishments, Ascot Group operates where planning, partnership and positive outcomes matter.

We were built on a simple but powerful idea: make a difference. Not just in the physical spaces we create, but in how we work alongside clients, consultants, contractors and communities. Across the nation, our people are creating exceptional spaces through expertise, care and genuine partnership.

The experience is the difference, and it shows in everything we do.

The Position:

We are looking for experience in contract administration within construction (Tier 3/4 preferred). Knowledge of building contracts, procurement, and subcontractor management. Excellent organisation, communication, and negotiation skills.

This Is More Than a CA Role

At ASCOT GROUP, a Contract Administrator is not just processing paperwork.

You are the commercial partner to the Project Manager.

The guardian of contractual integrity.

The protector of margin and risk.

You ensure the commercial foundations of every project are strong, contracts are clear, costs are controlled and risks are identified early. Strong projects are built on disciplined commercial management. This role safeguards that discipline.

What You’ll Drive

  • Proactive management of head contracts and subcontracts
  • Early identification and control of contractual risk and variations
  • Accurate forecasting, cost reporting and margin protection
  • Structured procurement and disciplined subcontract alignment
  • Clear financial administration around claims, variations and payments managed with precision
  • Strong documentation integrity and compliance

You don’t wait for issues to surface. You raise them early and resolve them professionally.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated Contract Administration experience within construction.
  • A strong understanding of contracts and subcontract structures.
  • Confidence managing variations, claims and cost reporting.
  • Commercial awareness you understand margin mechanics and cash flow.
  • Detail oriented, structured and disciplined … without losing perspective.
  • Experience in the projects we work will be a huge plus
  • Someone who partners collaboratively with Project Managers while maintaining independent commercial clarity.

Why This Role Matters

Construction projects don’t fail because of one major mistake. They erode through small commercial gaps.

Unclear scoped

Missed variations.

Loose documentation.

Unmanaged risk.

The Contract Administrator protects the project and creates a great outcome.

What You Get

  • A permanent role within a stable, growing organisation
  • Meaningful, sector-diverse projects
  • Strong collaboration with experienced Project Managers
  • Commercial and finance support systems in place

We work Monday to Friday and value performance. We understand flexibility looks different for everyone. Let’s explore what working well looks like for you.

The Experience is the Difference.

If you’re ready to protect the commercial foundations of projects that matter we’d love to hear from you
