This role plays a key part in ensuring claims are managed efficiently, empathetically, and in line with Adica’s policies and values.

Our hybrid working model means you’ll work from home 3 days a week and spend 2 days in our newly fitted-out St Kilda Road office, conveniently connected to public transport and surrounded by great cafes and leafy green spaces.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Receiving, processing, and registering new claims.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, building trust and providing clear, supportive communication.
  • Maintaining accurate and well-structured claim files.
  • Settling claims within delegated authority limits.
  • Referring matters to management as per Adica’s Delegated Authority Policy.
  • Managing correspondence and ensuring timely communication.
  • Pursuing recoveries and ensuring proper allocation.
  • Supporting the Claims Manager with process improvements and project work.
  • Assisting and training other team members as needed.
  • Attending internal and external meetings as required.
  • Representing Adica professionally in all interactions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in insurance claims
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong letter-writing and negotiation skills.
  • A relevant insurance qualification is highly regarded but not essential.
