We are currently seeking School Crossing Supervisors to join our team on a casual basis as various locations with the municipality.
Responsibilities or duties
As a Relief School Crossing Supervisor, you will assist students and families to travel safely to and from school. The crossings are located at selected intersections, pedestrian signaled crossings and at flagged children's crossing within the City of Brimbank.
The shifts are for 45 minutes, a mixture of both morning and afternoons and the pay is currently $42.50 and the role will offer no more than 7.5 hours per week.
Qualifications or requirements
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Ideally live locally within the Brimbank municipality and have the ability to travel to any Brimbank school crossing
- Have good communication skills and enjoy working with children and the general public
- Enjoy the fresh air and be brave enough to endure the outdoor weather conditions, wearing relevant PPE
- Be available to work morning and afternoon shifts during school terms
- Be vigilant with the ability to follow road safety procedures, laws, guidelines and OH&S processes
- Have a mobile phone, email address, reliable vehicle and current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Be prepared to undertake a medical, consent to a Police Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children's Check
