What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced, highly driven, and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join the dynamic Woolworths at Work team. This pivotal role is central to our commitment to strategic market expansion and will be responsible for defining and executing our aggressive growth agenda.

This is a high-impact position focused primarily on the acquisition of new customers within targeted commercial and enterprise sectors and the significant expansion of our overall market reach. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader in the sales process, translating market opportunities into tangible revenue growth.

This position is perfectly suited for a seasoned and high-performing B2B sales professional who demonstrates a superior ability to blend strategic thinking with precise, hands-on execution. You must thrive in complex buying environments, possess exceptional negotiation skills, and be driven by the challenge of achieving ambitious sales targets. A significant focus of this role involves face-to-face relationship building and the development of deep, personal rapport with executives and procurement leaders.. Deliverables will include:

  • Build and execute a strong acquisition strategy, developing a high-quality sales pipeline aligned to long-term growth objectives
  • Consistently achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets through effective forecasting, pipeline management, and conversion of new business
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key enterprise customers, leading complex negotiations and securing high-value deals
  • Drive go-to-market strategies across priority channels, identifying new opportunities and delivering targeted growth initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding, strong internal alignment, and successful transition of new accounts
  • Leverage market insights and competitive intelligence to refine strategy, identify opportunities, and strengthen overall value proposition

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field (Master’s degree advantageous)
  • Several years’ proven success leading B2B new business acquisition teams within FMCG (experience across Office, Mining or Government sectors highly regarded)
  • Strong track record of exceeding targets and driving significant revenue growth
  • High level of financial and commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute customer-focused sales strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience building, motivating and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with proficiency in CRM systems and modern sales methodologies
