Our client is a well-established organisation within the insurance sector, seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their team on an initial contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with deep insurance domain knowledge and hands-on experience working with GICOP-regulated services, who enjoys translating regulatory and business needs into practical, compliant solutions.
Acting as a key conduit between business, technology, compliance, and external providers, you will play a critical role in delivering change initiatives across policy servicing, underwriting, claims, and customer remediation. Your work will support regulatory compliance and will be underpinned with customer experience at the core of the work.
The key focus of this role is to ensure compliance is embedded into business processes, systems, and customer journeys, while supporting broader transformation initiatives across the insurance value chain.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Capture, analyse, and translate business and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with stake holders from the business functions including compliance, legal, and operational teams to ensure regulatory adherence
- Analyse end-to-end insurance processes across claims, underwriting, policy administration, and complaints
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and impact assessments
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to regulatory and business outcomes
- Support solution design, system enhancements, and remediation initiatives
- Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder forums
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, owning requirements from discovery through delivery
- Support change management, UAT, and post-implementation reviews
Your Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry or a similar financial services organisation
- Strong working knowledge of GICOP and regulatory obligations in financial services
- Experience across claims, policy servicing, disputes, or customer remediation programs
- Strong process analysis and documentation skills (BPMN, workflows, business rules)
- Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a pragmatic, risk-aware mindset
- Experience working with core insurance systems and digital platforms is highly regarded
