We’re looking for a passionate journalist to join our awesome Regional News Team and become part of the Hitz939 and 4BU family, on a 12 month contract with view to extend. You’ll be sourcing, preparing, and reading local news as part of ARN’s Local News First initiative.
About The Roles
- Write, edit and present high quality local news for our listeners
- Conduct and edit interviews for inclusion in local news bulletins
- Write, edit and publish news stories for our station websites
- Report from the field and attend media conferences, doorstops, police incidents and other news events as required
- Form connections with local newsmakers to ensure ARN is the regional radio and audio news leader
About You
- Strong on-air presentation and writing skills
- Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications
- Understanding of the law as it relates to media, particularly in the areas of Defamation and Contempt of Court
- A passion for news and a workable understanding of sport
