About the Role
You’ll support our maintenance team with mechanical maintenance, repairs and breakdowns across key plant equipment. This role is practical, safety‑focused and ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working with tools and learning a trade on the job.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Following WH&S procedures and helping identify workplace hazards
- Assisting with mechanical maintenance, inspections and repairs
- Supporting breakdown response under supervision to minimise downtime
- Using hand and power tools, measuring equipment and machinery safely
- Assisting with fault‑finding on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment
- Communicating with maintenance and production teams
- Helping source parts and assist with planned maintenance and small improvement projects
About You
- Interest in completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting)
- Strong work ethic with good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Reliable, hands‑on, and eager to learn
- Previous trade, mechanical, agricultural or industrial experience advantageous
- Basic computer skills or exposure to maintenance systems
- Interest in machinery, problem‑solving and continuous improvement
