What does the job look like?

This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end warehouse operations on the afternoon shift, ensuring safe, efficient and on-time delivery of all site activities. You will lead a team of leaders and operators to meet operational targets while maintaining strong customer relationships and driving continuous improvement. Key areas:

  • Lead end-to-end shift operations to meet demand, workload and customer priorities
  • Manage team leaders and workforce to achieve productivity and service targets
  • Ensure all safety risks, hazards and incidents are identified, reported and controlled
  • Allocate labour and resources in line with volume requirements and operational priorities
  • Deliver on-time picking, packing and dispatch performance across all orders
  • Control site expenditure and support delivery of budget and productivity outcomes

Are you the one?

You are an experienced operations leader within logistics or warehousing, with the capability to manage large teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, performance and customer outcomes. You can demonstrate:

  • Several years’ experience in logistics and business management environments
  • Proven experience leading large operational teams (approx. 25+ direct/indirect reports)
  • Strong financial and analytical capability with exposure to costing and productivity metrics
  • Experience with warehouse or operational systems (Paperless preferred)
  • Knowledge of safety systems, risk management and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage resources, labour planning and operational peaks effectively
