Skytanking Australia is seeking motivated and safety-driven Tank Farm and Hydrant Systems Operators to join our Sydney Airport operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a critical airport environment where precision, teamwork and safety are essential to every shift.
In this hands-on role, you will help operate and maintain aviation fuel storage and hydrant systems that directly support aircraft operations. Every task you perform contributes to the safe and efficient running of one of Australia’s busiest airports.
Responsibilities or duties
As a Tank Farm and Hydrant Systems Operator, you will:
- Operate and monitor aviation fuel storage and hydrant systems
- Perform daily quality control checks and safety inspections
- Conduct equipment checks, maintenance support and housekeeping
- Assist with tanker operations and fuel handling processes
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
- Participate in safety programs, toolbox talks and ongoing training
- Work a rotating shift roster including day and night shifts
Qualifications or requirements
We are seeking candidates who bring:
- A strong commitment to safety and procedural compliance
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions/elements
- A positive attitude and professional work ethic
- Eligibility to obtain an ASIC card and Airside Driving Authority
- A heavy vehicle driver licence (or ability to obtain)
- Dangerous Goods licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
Experience needed
Experience in aviation, fuel operations, logistics or heavy industry is highly regarded but not essential.
