About the role:

As Supervisor, you’ll lead day-to-day depot operations while providing strong leadership and support to train crew. This role plays a critical part in driving safety, performance, and team development and shaping our refreshed Coal North region. We are looking for an adaptable individual who shows initiative, thrives in a dynamic operational environment, and is confident leading people through day-to-day operational challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting operational employees to deliver safe and efficient rail services
  • Ensuring compliance with Pacific National safety standards, policies and procedures
  • Monitoring operational performance and responding to day-to-day operational challenges
  • Coaching and developing team members to build capability and performance
  • Supporting workforce planning, resourcing and roster management
  • Contributing to a positive, safety-focused culture across the depot
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across operations

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven people leadership in logistics, transport, or heavy industry
  • A strong commitment to safety leadership
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to manage competing operation priorities
  • Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Rail experience is a bonus, but not essential
