Service Delivery Controller

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)

Lifestyle Roster: 5 days on / 4 days off, 5 off / 4 on, 5 on / 5 off

We’re now seeking a proactive, safety-focused Service Delivery Controller to join our Integrated Planning Services – Day of Operations team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a critical operational role where you’ll manage live train services, coordinate crews and assets, and respond to real-time challenges to ensure services run safely and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

Working within the Day of Operations control function, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable rail services by:

  • Monitoring live train services and ensuring schedules are executed efficiently and safely
  • Managing operational disruptions and minimising impacts on service delivery
  • Coordinating train crew and assets to meet changing operational demands
  • Providing timely and accurate information to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining operational systems and holding network providers accountable to the plan

What You’ll Bring

  • Safety-focused mindset and availability for 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, public holidays)
  • Experience in logistics, transport or operational control environments (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based operation
  • Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capability
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills and capacity to build relationships and influence outcomes across stakeholders
