This is a Senior Weeds Officer position within the Weed Management Branch of the Department of Lands, Planning and Environment.

Responsibilities or duties

Develop and review weed management strategies.

Provide advice on weed identification and ecology.

Educate land managers on legislative responsibilities.

Conduct surveys and collect field data.

Manage reports and emergency responses.

Supervise technical staff.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Qualification/experience in natural resource management/agricultural science.

Experience in weed management and legislation.

Analytical and communication skills.

Project management skills.

Safe use of herbicides and field equipment.

NT Driver’s Licence, First Aid, chemical accreditation.

Desirable: GIS experience, Certificate IV in Government Investigations.
