Background information about the job or company (e.g., role context, company overview)
At Uniting NSW.ACT, we believe in the power of people — their potential, their compassion, and their drive to make a difference. As a Senior IR/ER Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we support, empower and guide our teams across the organisation.
Be part of something bigger
In this role, you’ll provide fast-paced, high-quality IR and ER advice across the organisation, helping leaders navigate complex and sensitive workplace matters with confidence, empathy and fairness. You’ll prepare tribunal documentation and support leaders to achieve consistent, positive outcomes, while contributing to projects that improve our IR/ER frameworks, tools and practices.
This role offers the opportunity to make a difference in a purpose-driven organisation, where every process is fair, every decision reflects our values, and the wellbeing of the people involved is front of mind.
This is a contract position for 12 months (parental leave cover).

- Prepare documentation and represent Uniting in matters before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals
- Contribute to building IR and ER capability across the People function and the business
- Monitor Awards, employment legislation and relevant case law, proactively advising stakeholders of impacts and required changes
- Play an active part in improving IR/ER frameworks, tools and guidance materials
