About the job
Job Description
Join KPMG’s Technology Risk and Cyber team — a fast-growing, nationally led group of experts helping clients tackle complex technology risks and cyber threats. With deep capabilities in cyber strategy, risk management, data governance, cloud security, and incident response, the team works across industries to deliver innovative, resilient solutions. Be part of a collaborative, future-focused environment where your skills in technology, data, and cybersecurity make a real impact.
Role Purpose
Do you enjoy variety and flexibility in your work, with the opportunity to grow an exciting technology career?
As a Senior Consultant in Technology Risk and Cyber, no two days or projects are the same. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to a range of interesting projects, work with numerous diverse clients, and collaborate with different specialist teams. Working to a Manager, you will play a key role helping clients navigate an evolving IT risk landscape. Working with varied clients and sectors (although predominantly across State and Federal Government), you will work collaboratively to undertake audits and assurance projects within a team of IT internal audit professionals, whilst learning and growing your knowledge through exploring a range of IT topics (e.g. data governance, cybersecurity, IT controls, program and project assurance, business resilience, artificial intelligence, etc.). A technical or audit background is not a mandatory requirement to be successful in this role.
Someone who would be successful in this role is curious, passionate about technology and data, interested to learn every day, detail oriented, good at communicating and writing, loves working in a diverse team, can multi-task, likes a challenge, and has a growth mindset. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions and methodologies, bringing your unique perspective and experiences to help us continuously evolve how we approach technology risk.
This role is based in our Canberra office, offering the opportunity to work with local and national clients across a variety of industries, including Federal and State government.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold (or be eligible to hold) an Australian Federal Government security clearance.
Strict eligibility requirement Australian Citizenship is a minimum criterion to be considered for this Canberra based position.
