In the role of Senior Analyst, Unsecured Credit, you will report to the Head of Unsecured Credit Personal Lending and play a key role in managing the credit performance of NAB’s unsecured lending portfolios, including Personal Loans and NAB Car Loan. You’ll support the optimisation of credit strategies and delivery of initiatives that balance risk, reward and customer experience across the credit lifecycle.

This role sits within the Unsecured Credit Portfolio Management team and offers strong exposure to portfolio optimisation, decisioning strategy and cross‑functional collaboration. You’ll use data and analytics to generate insights and support decisions that drive safe, compliant and profitable growth.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Monitor and analyse performance across Personal Loans and NAB Car Loan portfolios to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver reporting and insights to support credit decisioning and portfolio optimisation.
  • Improve credit strategies through enhancements to scorecard cut‑offs, limit allocation, policy rules and use of external data sources.
  • Apply champion/challenger approaches to test and refine decision settings.
  • Deliver post‑implementation reviews (PIRs) and performance tracking to provide clear insights to stakeholders.
  • Support delivery of key Unsecured CPM initiatives and projects that optimise risk‑adjusted returns and customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Unsecured Business, Risk, Operations, Marketing and other credit teams.
  • Proactively manage risk by adhering to policies and controls, supporting responsible lending obligations and ensuring strong governance.

What you will bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, R or Python.
  • Commercial acumen with an understanding of credit risk and portfolio performance drivers.
  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
  • Results‑focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Experience in credit risk, analytics and unsecured lending environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a numerate discipline such as economics, statistics, engineering or similar.
