Our simple promise is to create bold and beautiful homes that stand the test of time. Rooted in the core belief of intergenerational design and construction, our designs not only embody enduring charm but also add lasting value to dream homes.
Our reputation for innovation derives as much from our approach to creating, as it does our creativity. Ever curious, always questioning, forever open-minded, we collaborate widely and often, exposing ourselves to the works and ideas of makers, thinkers and disrupters from allied and professions alike.
About the Role
Due to our continued expansion and evolving business needs, we require a Procurement Officer to play a crucial role in overseeing and executing the procurement strategy for our residential construction projects across Victoria and Queensland. Reporting directly to the National Procurement Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to manage the end-to-end procurement function for construction materials and labor on a national scale, working across a variety of categories to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain National Contracts register and flag pending contract expiry to enable timely review
- Manage end-to-end procurement function from Tender to Contract Award for set portfolio nationally
- Present category plans and identify, research and develop cost reduction opportunities, execute national supply agreements and monitor compliance
- Procurement administration, including supplier onboarding, procurement master data management and pricing updates
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver sourcing solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and terms where appropriate to add real commercial value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional projects beyond traditional procurement.
- Engage with suppliers and participate in mutual events.
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience in procurement, ideally within residential construction, or supply chain environment.
- Strong ERP/MRP knowledge (DataBuild highly regarded).
- Category management experience
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead, influence and implement sourcing plans that result in cost savings and process efficiencies
- Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communicator and negotiator with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commercially astute and solutions focused.
- A team-oriented mindset, willing to pitch in beyond your core role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional looking to make a meaningful impact on a growing business within the residential construction sector. If you're a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply!
