The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.

We are proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. ABOUT THE ROLE

Great Opportunity for an experienced Paste Fill Operator to join our highly skilled underground mining team.

7/7 rotating roster (days and nights) 12-hour shifts – Residential role.

Responsibilities:

• Installation of underground paste reticulation, pipe supports, couplings, elbows etc.
• Installation of UG dump valves/diverter valves, pressure sensors and instrumentation.
• Construction of paste walls and bunds.
• Co-ordinate works with surface plant and mining operation teams.
• Support supervisors in planning and executing paste infrastructure projects efficiently and within scope.
• Record and report daily activities, paste line performance, and maintenance requirements accurately.
• Service backfill line weekly to ensure long term sustainability & scheduled Paste Fill checks
• Inspect quality of line regularly and plan in for replacements or improvements
• Assist crews where necessary to ensure smooth running of backfill & Paste Fill operation
• Manage any drainage issues with assistance from mining crews

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 Year’s demonstrated experience in underground mining with a detailed knowledge of the Backfill & Paste Fill system
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, including hazard identification, risk management, and use of appropriate PPE
• Work collaboratively with other crews (services, projects, and production) to coordinate paste installation around mining schedules
• Have a detailed knowledge of underground drainage system
• The ability to identify and long-term drainage issues and suggest improvement
