Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class Zinc-Lead mine with a long future. You’ll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process Zinc, Lead and Silver from our Open Cut Mining operations. They are then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers all over the world. About the Role:

Glencore is seeking a highly organised and motivated Mining Maintenance Planner to join the team at McArthur River Mine. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities for the mobile fleet to ensure equipment reliability, safe operations, and efficient maintenance execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for the mobile fleet.
  • Develop detailed work packs including labour, parts, tooling, and procedures.
  • Manage, items, tasks, BOMS and maintenance plans in SAP
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime and maximise fleet availability.
  • Manage work orders within the site maintenance management system.
  • Liaise with maintenance supervisors, reliability engineers, and operations teams to prioritise work.
  • Ensure required parts and materials are available prior to scheduled maintenance.
  • Review completed work orders and capture maintenance history for continuous improvement.
  • Promote and maintain strong safety and environmental standards.

Successful Applicants Will Have:

  • Previous experience in maintenance planning within mining, heavy industry, or mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment maintenance CAT 793 trucks, 995 loaders, 6060/6040 excavators, D10, D11 dozers, 18 Graders, Epiroc SmartDML and SmartRoc D65 Drills.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems such as SAP, Ellipse, or similar.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
