The primary purpose of this role is to manage claims for Work Injury Damages, provide advice and assist with legal claim activities within the NSW Workers Compensation scheme, in consultation with employers and other stakeholders. The role is to ensure outcome measures are met in relation to claims for Work Injury Damages.

About the role

Offer expert support and guidance to the Workers Compensation business on legal claims, Work Injury Damages, and strategic claims management.

Partner with Panel Solicitors to assist employers with legal and litigated matters, including investigations and settlement negotiations.

Oversee assigned litigation claims, ensuring resolution within authority and conducting additional investigations when necessary.

Provide coaching and support to the business on complex legal claims.

Reduce settlement costs by negotiating with recovery agents and third-party solicitors.

About you

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry accreditations, with experience managing complex legal claims in regulated industries.

Strong analytical skills to interpret complex information, extract insights, and evaluate options for effective decision-making.

Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts, escalating issues when necessary, while ensuring timely and effective outcomes.

Skilled in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, collaborating effectively, and influencing decisions.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical proficiency in systems, software, databases, and reporting tools.

A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
