About the role

This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver leadership and capability initiatives across one of Queensland's largest and most complex environments. Sitting within a collaborative People, Culture and Capability team, you will lead the design and delivery of leadership development and talent programs that support organisational culture transformation and build a future-ready workforce.

Working across both front-line and corporate environments, you will partner with leaders to deliver impactful, practical and engaging development experiences that strengthen leadership capability at all levels. The role will combine strategic program design with hands-on facilitation, stakeholder engagement and end-to-end delivery across a broad portfolio of initiatives.

This position will suit someone who brings fresh thinking, contemporary leadership development expertise and the ability to simplify complex concepts into practical, scalable learning experiences within a large, values-driven organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of leadership and talent development programs across the organisation
  • Facilitate engaging leadership workshops, forums and development experiences for diverse stakeholder groups
  • Partner closely with People & Culture leaders and key stakeholders across schools and head office environments
  • Design practical, fit-for-purpose learning initiatives aligned to organisational strategy and culture transformation
  • Support leadership pathways, mentoring programs, succession initiatives and talent development frameworks
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of leadership capability frameworks and performance approaches
  • Develop innovative and accessible learning solutions, including blended and online learning experiences
  • Use data, insights and feedback to continuously improve program effectiveness and engagement
  • Drive strong communication, stakeholder management and end-to-end coordination across multiple initiatives
  • Bring structure, energy and momentum to leadership development initiatives within a large and complex environment

About you

  • Proven experience in leadership development, organisational development and/or learning & capability roles
  • Strong facilitation capability with experience delivering programs to large and varied audiences
  • Experience working within complex, matrixed or highly process-driven organisations
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across both operational and executive levels
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary leadership development approaches
  • Experience designing practical, engaging and scalable learning solutions
  • Commercially minded, adaptable and highly organised, with the ability to self-manage and work at pace
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and execution
  • Experience within education, government, healthcare or similarly complex environments will be highly regarded
