We’re looking for an experienced GI Property Claims leader to step into a critical role overseeing complex and large-loss home insurance claims, while driving performance across a high-performing team and dispute resolution function.

About the Role

Reporting to the Platform Manager – Home Operations, you will lead a specialist team managing high-severity, high-value property claims and internal disputes.

This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity—balancing technical claims expertise, customer outcomes, risk management, and commercial performance, while leveraging insights and continuous improvement approaches to optimise results.

? This role requires deep, hands-on experience in General Insurance (GI) Property Claims—this is essential.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading Complex Claims & Technical Excellence

    Oversee end-to-end management of large-loss and complex property claims

    Ensure accurate policy interpretation, scope validation, and cost assessment

    Guide teams through technically challenging claims involving structural damage and high-value exposure

    Partner with loss adjusters, builders, and technical experts to drive best outcomes

  • Driving Smarter, Data-Informed Decisions

    Use performance data and insights to improve cost, quality, and turnaround times

    Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across claims portfolios

    Apply a continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes and outcomes

  • Dispute & Escalation Management

    Lead resolution of internal disputes (IDR) and complex escalations

    Navigate sensitive situations with customers and stakeholders

    Apply a risk-based, structured approach to decision-making

  • Team Leadership & Capability Building

    Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team

    Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth

    Build capability in handling complex claims and disputes

    Act as a role model in delivering customer-centric outcomes

  • Commercial & Financial Performance

    Drive cost control and identify opportunities for savings

    Monitor builder and supplier performance using KPI frameworks

    Ensure financial accuracy and minimise leakage

  • Customer & Stakeholder Experience

    Deliver exceptional service across all touchpoints

    Manage vulnerable customers with empathy and professionalism

    Influence and engage a broad stakeholder group, including senior leaders

What You Bring

  • Essential: GI Property Claims Expertise

    Minimum 5+ years in General Insurance Property Claims

    Strong experience in:

    • Complex and large-loss claims
    • Dispute and escalation management
    • Builder and repair network engagement

    • Policy coverage and interpretation
    • Scope validation and cost control
