The Role

Anglicare are currently seeking to hire a fixed term Injury Management Advisor on a 14 Month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of Maternity Leave.

How you will make help us make a difference

  • Manage statutory claims from beginning to end (including complex claims).
  • Respond to queries relating to WorkCover with relevant, current information.
  • Liaise with Anglicare's Injury Triage Service to assist in facilitating recovery at work for employees.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support on injury management and recovery at work activities.
  • Develop and monitor recovery at work plans in consultation with injured employees, managers, health professionals and other stakeholders for both statutory and non-work related injuries.
  • Ensure employees and managers understand their role and responsibilities for recovery at work.
  • Comply with all legislative requirements relating to workers compensation claims.

What our team are looking for

  • Significant experience in WorkCover claims management and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Knowledge of common law processes and proven success in development of recovery at work plans.
  • An understanding of the principles and practice of workplace health and safety including risk assessments, site inspections and job safety analysis.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills including the ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy and assertiveness.
  • A strong client focus and a problem-solving approach with a professional manner.
