About your next role
As an IT Field Service and Support Technician, you will be the hands-on technical expert ensuring vital technology remains operational for our remote communities, retail stores, and corporate offices.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain a variety of key technologies including POS systems, CCTV cameras, NVRs, and networking equipment
- Support end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and associated software
- Perform basic network resolutions including port testing, re-terminations, and WAP diagnostics
- Assist the Help Desk team using ITIL-aligned processes for incident and asset management when not travelling
- Maintain accurate records of hardware configurations and contribute to the internal knowledge base
- Provide high-quality customer service by communicating technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Travel to remote communities via light aircraft and 4WD to perform technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and new installations
What we look for
You are a technically proficient and adventurous professional who enjoys a mix of field-based problem solving and office-based support.
- Proven hands-on experience with computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting
- Previous experience working within a Service Desk or Helpdesk environment
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to remote locations and work in challenging field environments
- Experience in remote Indigenous communities or retail environments is highly regarded
- Confidence using hand and power tools is a plus
Mandatory Requirements
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain necessary clearances for remote community work
