See yourself in our team
The Retail Bank is the public face of CommBank - in branches, on the phone, via video and online. Together, we deliver a seamless banking experience to more than 10 million personal and small business customers.
You’ll be based at our flagship 240 Queen Street branch in the heart of Brisbane CBD, working within a high-performing team environment with strong internal networks and consistent opportunity flow.
Do work that matters
As a Home Lending Executive, you will proactively build and grow your portfolio, managing your customers to ensure their needs are fully understood and the right solutions are delivered.
In this high-profile CBD location, you’ll be expected to take ownership of your pipeline, build strong relationships across the branch and drive new lending opportunities through both internal connections and your own business development activity.
More specifically, you will:
- Use your knowledge of products, processes, policies and lending risk appetite to clearly explain options, articulate value and confidently address customer questions or concerns
- Build a reputation as a trusted advisor by guiding customers and business partners through the lending journey, creating advocates and fostering long-term relationships
- Lead by example, embody our values and contribute to a high-performing team of passionate lenders
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements, sharing insights and understanding their impact on customers, the market and the Group
- Build and maintain strong internal and external referral networks, confidently ask for business and support others to do the same through deeper customer and partner engagement
- Apply the Group’s risk framework effectively to attract and retain customers, while encouraging open discussion and a strong risk-aware culture
- Partner closely with branch colleagues to leverage opportunities in a fast-paced, flagship environment
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
- Are established lenders with a strong track record of driving results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Bring proven success in building and converting a self-generated pipeline through proactive business development and referral networks
- Demonstrate strong ownership of performance, consistently delivering against lending targets and outcomes
- Have deep experience across home lending, with the ability to navigate more complex scenarios confidently
- Apply sound credit judgement and understand risk, policy and responsible lending obligations at a high level
- Know how to operate within a high-performing branch team while also building strong internal partnerships to maximise opportunities
- Bring strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, pursue and convert new lending opportunities
- Are confident working at pace, managing multiple applications and maintaining quality outcomes
- Lead by example and contribute positively to team performance and culture
With us, you’ll help customers make confident financial decisions and achieve their goals, while building a successful lending career in one of CommBank’s flagship branches.
