ABOUT THE ROLE — Afternoon Float | 12:00pm – 6:00pm

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on team member to join us in an Afternoon Float capacity. This is a varied and important role that keeps the heart of our centre beating through the second half of the day!

You'll be supporting our educators and team across the afternoon shift, including:

  • Lunch cover and lunch-related duties
  • Light kitchen duties and kitchen hand tasks
  • General cleaning and upkeep of the Centre
  • Assisting educators to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
  • Supporting the smooth running of the centre from midday through to close

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, child-focused environment and loves being the person who holds it all together behind the scenes.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Positive, reliable and loves working as part of a team
  • Warm and caring with a genuine love of children
  • Happy to roll up their sleeves across both floor and kitchen duties
  • Skilled at building respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Excited to bring their energy and enthusiasm every day

What You Bring

  • A current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one)
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certification (desirable)
  • Experience in childcare, hospitality or a kitchen environment (advantageous but not essential)
  • A genuine love of children and learning
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (desirable but not essential for this role)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting children's learning through play, curiosity and joy
  • Assisting with lunch cover and kitchen hand duties
  • Helping create safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces
  • Collaborating with your team across the afternoon shift
  • Bringing the Curiosity Tree values to life every day

Hours: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
