Background
Kanda is looking for an experience Employment Relations Partner to provide expert IR/ER advice and support managers in effectively leading their teams, ensuring high performance while maintaining compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures. This full-time, Brisbane-based role involves end-to-end case management, building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering practical, solutions-focused support across a range of employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on employment law, industrial instruments, and workplace policies
- Partner with leaders to manage and resolve employee relations matters
- Lead end-to-end case management, including performance, grievances, misconduct, investigations and complex ER issues
- Support policy development, compliance, and delivery of ER training with leaders
- Build stakeholder relationships and contribute to workplace culture and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Demonstrated experience in ER, People & Culture or similar role (ideally in the community services sector)
- Hold a Diploma or higher level qualification in Human Resource Management (or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards (SCHADS, Clerks, Nursing desirable)
- Skilled in investigations, analysis, and communicating practical, compliant solutions
- Experience in Fair Work conciliation/hearings and union engagement
- Strong attention to detail with high digital literacy and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite and HRIS
