The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our thriving Customer Relations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Review the role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to QBE’s success.
QBE is passionate about making a difference to the lives of those injured in a motor vehicle accident and this role will see you join a high performing team responsible for the management of disputes made by customers. You, as the decision maker, will have the opportunity to deliver fair and equitable outcomes and improve the overall customer experience in this maturing CTP Reform Scheme.

Your new role
- Manage organisational obligations and compliance in relation to the conduct of disputes under the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 (NSW), as well as other Regulations, Guidelines and Statutory Frameworks
- Exposure to disputes before the Personal Injury Commission
- Provide recommendations in relation to process and decision-making improvements, to enhance alignment with the Objects of the Act
- Review and deliver sound, timely decisions for disputes.
- Proactively identify systemic causes of disputes and contribute to the development of creative and beneficial solutions
- Foster and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, both externally and cross-functionally across QBE
- Provide subject matter expertise and identify continuous improvement training opportunities for our business
About you
- Experience in allied health, claims or legal background within a personal injury scheme (CTP, workers compensation, etc), and/or clinical exposure being highly advantageous.
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong understanding and interpretation of medical terminology.
- Ability and initiative to make decisions and recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders to improve performance and achieve excellent outcomes.
- Proven success in driving continuous improvement initiatives, have complex problem resolution ability and business acumen.
- Previous experience in coaching, mentoring or developing others would be highly regarded.
- Solution focused individual with a resolution mindset approach.
