Disability Life Skills Supporter – Belfield and Campbelltown
This is a 3-month fixed-term contract role offering a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours. You will support NDIS participants in a 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment across our Belfield and Campbelltown homes.
About the Opportunity
- Minimum 10 hours per week (Fixed Term Contract) with opportunity for additional hours
- Must be able to work across Belfield and Campbelltown SIL houses
- SCHADS Level 2.1 starting from $34.58 base per hour plus Salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 per year (less tax), Super and penalty rates if applicable
- Flexible shifts available across weekdays and weekends
- No fixed roster, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts
- Our service operates in a 24/7 environment, roster per fortnight may include e.g. morning, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
Working with participants aged 20 to 60 years on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will positively engage people with various physical and mental health disabilities, contributing to making a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, confidence in accessing the community and within themselves.
What you will be doing:
- Aiding with daily life activities both at home (meal preparation, cleaning, medication administration, manual handling, etc) and in the community (budgeting and shopping routines).
- Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related endeavours.
- Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.
- Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements.
Who we are looking for:
- Previous experience or qualifications in disability of young adults or aged care.
- NSW Drivers license (can be on Green P Plates)
- Access to a reliable car and comprehensive car insurance are required for the role.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Checks
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Previous experience or qualifications in disability of young adults or aged care.
