OnCue Talent works with film, television and commercial productions across Australia to submit everyday people for casual extra and featured extra roles.

Submissions are currently open for upcoming Brisbane-based productions, with limited availability for upcoming information sessions.

Meet Sue

Like Sue, one of our fabulous talent, you could find yourself part of a real television commercial, TV series or film.

Sue was selected to play the role of the grandmother in this TAC television commercial and stepped into the role with no previous experience.

She wasn’t a professional actor and hadn’t worked in the industry before — she was simply curious about how it all worked and decided to find out. Since then, Sue has continued to be cast in productions over time, depending on casting needs and availability.

Sue’s experience shows that there’s no “typical” extra — productions regularly look for everyday people of all ages, backgrounds and appearances.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be involved in film, TV or commercial productions, this is your opportunity to learn how it works and decide if it’s right for you.

About the work

Extra and featured extra roles are engaged on a casual, as-needed basis, depending on current production requirements.

You may be submitted for opportunities in:

• Film productions
• TV series
• Television commercials
• Photographic and promotional events

You get paid for the work you are engaged to do.

No acting experience is required. We welcome people of all sizes, shapes, ages and backgrounds.

Recent productions

OnCue Talent extras have appeared in productions including:

• Feature films such as The Very Excellent Mr Dundee, The True History of the Kelly Gang, Judy & Punch, Lion, Oddball and Killer Elite.
• TV series including Wentworth, Offspring, House Husbands, Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, The Blake Mysteries, Glitch, Picnic at Hanging Rock and many more.
• Commercials for brands such as BUPA, Coles, RACV, Foxtel, Kmart, Australian Super, Qatar Airways and others.
