About the Role
The Care Excellence Lead provides clinical expertise, governance leadership and quality oversight across our HACC services in NSW West.
This pivotal role embeds best practice, strengthens clinical governance and mentors multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, person-centred community aged care. You will support neighbourhood teams, Team Leaders and Care Partners to ensure high-quality services aligned with care plans, budgets and regulatory requirements.
Our NSW West region covers a large geographical area including Central West, Orana, Far West and Riverina. Regular travel across the NSW West is required as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical expertise in complex community aged care
- Embed and uphold Uniting’s clinical governance framework
- Mentor Nursing and Allied Health teams
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with Aged Care Standards
- Analyse clinical data to identify improvement opportunities
- Implement and evaluate quality systems within HACC
- Facilitate education and workforce capability development
- Promote a culture of client choice, safety and continuous improvement
- Act as Deputy to the Area Manager
About You
You are a confident clinical leader who leads through collaboration and influence.
Essential:
- Bachelor qualification in Nursing or Allied Health
- Current AHPRA (or relevant) registration
- Unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 5+ years’ clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of aged care practice and clinical governance
- Experience in risk management and complex case management
- Proven coaching and mentoring capability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Highly regarded:
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical field
