Background information about the job or company (e.g., role context, company overview)
Youth Off The Streets (YOTS) is a leading not-for-profit organisation empowering young people to build brighter futures. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we deliver nationally recognised qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Leadership and more.
We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support enrolment growth and strengthen partnerships that expand access to education and training for young people and communities.
Why This Role?
If you enjoy building trusted relationships, coordinating opportunities, and creating pathways that make a real difference, this role offers the chance to apply your commercial skills in a purpose‑driven environment. Rather than selling a product, you’ll be connecting people, organisations, and opportunities to support meaningful education outcomes.
About the role:
The Business Development Coordinator supports sustainable enrolment growth by developing and coordinating referral pathways and partnerships for YOTS accredited and non‑accredited training programs. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, this role focuses on engagement, coordination, and compliance‑aligned pathways into training.
This is a full-time role offered on a 12-month maximum term contract, with the potential for continuation.
Responsibilities or duties
- Promote nationally recognised qualifications (Cert II–Advanced Diploma).
- Build and maintain referral networks across schools, employers, and community organisations.
- Represent YOTS at events and outreach activities.
- Respond to enquiries, assess eligibility, and guide applicants through the enrolment process.
- Work collaboratively with RTO Operations and Delivery teams to support intake planning.
- Maintain strong course knowledge and identify barriers to enrolment, connecting students with support where needed.
- Manage follow-ups, reporting, and CRM accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with RTO, ASQA, and funding requirements.
- Stay informed on Vocational Education and Training (VET), funding programs, and industry developments.
Key Performance Indicators
- Contribution to enrolment outcomes through effective partnership and referral coordination
- Development and maintenance of a consistent pipeline of referral partners
- Growth of sustainable community and employer relationships
- Accurate and timely CRM and reporting
- Ongoing compliance with regulatory and funding requirements
Qualifications or requirements
About you:
The person we seek will ideally bring:
- Experience in business development, partnership coordination, sales, or recruitment within education, training, or employment services
- Knowledge of the VET sector, student eligibility, and RTO compliance (or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge)
- Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Understanding of community services and youth‑focused environments
- A proactive and self‑directed approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working with disadvantaged or marginalised communities.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
What we can offer you:
- The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
- An inclusive and collaborative culture that values diversity, respect, and integrity
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
- Hybrid work options and flexible working arrangements.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellbeing initiatives.
- Additional leave benefits (e.g., purchased leave, gifted leave days, self-care leave).
- Regular supervision and support from experienced leaders.
- Salary packaging benefits to maximise your take home‑ pay
- Be part of a team continually innovating to improve outcomes for young people
- Fitness Passport
At Youth Off The Streets, diversity, equity and inclusion are part of our DNA. Together, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our people. It fuels our innovation and connects us closer to our customers and the communities we serve.
