In the role of Associate, you will join the Business and Private Banking Finance team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple and winning together.
Responsibilities
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Complete detailed financial modelling and analysis to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice, on both strategic and operational initiatives, such as the banker productivity, standardised management reporting, banker target setting, pipeline analysis and expense productivity savings, regional, industry and banker performance.
- Identify financial performance trends, both positive and negative, and, through critical review and analysis of internal and external factors, to improve business performance.
- Assess, analyse, and investigate aspects of financial reporting, including understanding of variances to Business plan/expectations to ensure accurate reporting and the production of Business financial insight for potential drivers of variances.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice, on key initiatives to the Business.
- Support the HO/Executive, to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation / simplification. Develop and demonstrate skills in continuous improvement, automation and simplification of repeatable activities.
- Maintain understanding of group finance policy requirements and ensure compliance including identifying and addressing any areas of no compliance.
- Support the NAB Group’s financial accounting, controlling, forecasting, planning, and reporting process.
Qualifications and Requirements

- High level of analysis and problem-solving skills driving commercial insights.
- Ability to synthesise detailed information and extract relevant key concepts.
- Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders while delivering results and proactive in meeting deliverables.
- Effective utilisation of tools to extract, manipulate and analyse large amounts of data, ideally experience with HFM, Tableau, CoPilot and Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as resilience with stakeholder management.
- Professional Services, Financial Services or Banking industry experience, preferably in an analytical role.
- Tertiary qualified (Commerce/Business/Economics or related), ideally working towards CA/CPA.
