Description

Yardperson – Bendigo

YMH is a leading builder of modular dwellings and commercial buildings servicing the Lifestyle, Tourism and Commercial sectors. With facilities in both Mulwala NSW and Bendigo VIC. All our modular buildings are designed and built to the very highest standards with a true focus on quality.

Due to a substantial increase in our workflow and an ever-expanding pipeline, we are seeking an experienced Yardsperson to work at our Bendigo facility. You will need to be a confident, detail-oriented individual who is solution-focused and ready to thrive in a busy setting.

Qualifications

  • Current high risk forklift licence
  • Driver’s licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card)

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of building methods, processes, and materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic technology skills.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Ability to follow and drive for procedure improvements & efficiencies.
  • A positive and solution driven mindset.
  • Strong work ethic and the willingness to help others and work within a team.
  • Personal pride in the quality of your work and strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence to work independently.
  • Ability to meet required deadlines.
  • Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep the facilities clean, safe & organized at all times.
  • Organise and deliver building materials, equipment and other resources as required to ensure all construction activities are completed within set timelines both onsite and at the YMH facility.
  • Keep the YMH vehicle fleet clean.
  • Complete lock up of the YMH Bendigo Construction facility on a daily basis including but not limited to: moving and securing vehicles, ensure all buildings are weatherproof, locking up the factory and gates.
  • Inspect products received from suppliers to ensure conformity to standard.
  • Keep all work areas clean and clear to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with YMH carpenters to provide assistance to aspects of carpentry as needed.
  • Work to the required level to meet the highest level of quality and to ensure construction activities are carried out to meet production schedules and operational requirements.
  • General labouring duties as required to assist the construction team.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
