About the Role:
We're looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to be a key support to our kitchen leadership and help create incredible dining experiences for our residents at Lakes Entrance Care Community.
What's on Offer:
? Location: Lakes Entrance Care Community
? Employment Type: Permanent part-time role available
? Roster: Starting at 2 shifts per week - Saturday and Sunday 09:00-17:00
? Remuneration: Hourly Rate + penalty rates & superannuation
➕ Additional Benefits: Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays, 12% superannuation & paid parental leave

What You'll Do:
Responsibilities or duties
- Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences.
- Support the Head and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations and food service.
- Help maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance.
- Step up and lead sections of the kitchen, developing your supervisory skills.
- Contribute ideas to menus and help create a dining experience that brings joy to our residents.
What You'll Need:
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
- Several years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- A passion for food and a genuine desire to learn and take on more responsibility.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to complete:
- Pre-employment medical
- Police check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
