There's never been a more exciting time to join St Vincent's. Recently, we unified all volunteer programs into one national team, strengthening our impact across hospitals, aged care, community programs and support at home.
Guided by the values of the Sisters of Charity, our incredible volunteers bring kindness, dignity and human connection to those who need it most. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping and delivering that impact every day. You'll also contribute to our vision Bringing Care Home, extending the best of St Vincent's care beyond traditional settings into the community.
Three (3) positions are available - one based in Sydney, one based in Melbourne and one based in Brisbane. All are permanent positions that will require you to work across our aged care homes, our central Corporate local office and you will have the flexibility to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the volunteer lifecycle, including a key focus on high volume, end to end recruitment
- Build genuine, professional relationships with internal teams, community partners and stakeholders to assist grow our volunteer program
- Support structured volunteer orientation and training to ensure high-quality, consistent experiences and positive retention outcomes
- Coordinate volunteer programs, events and recognition initiatives that strengthen engagement
- Maintain accurate records and reporting, ensuring compliance and supporting data-informed decisions
- Monitor program performance, identify gaps and implement practical improvements
- Oversee volunteer-to-resident matching to ensure meaningful, appropriate friendships and connections
- Track engagement and outcomes, providing clear insights to enhance program effectiveness
About You
- Genuinely motivated by mission, purpose and connection, with values aligned to St Vincent's mission of care and compassion
- Highly organised, reliable and professional, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Proven experience in coordinating volunteers with strong recruitment processing knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence working across diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong understanding of volunteer or program management, compliance and best practice frameworks
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify issues and implement improvements
- Genuinely motivated by purpose and connection, with values aligned to St Vincent's mission of care and compassion
- Experience in healthcare, aged care, or community programs is highly regarded
