The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.

We are proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Electrical Tradesperson to join our Mobile Maintenance Team.

Qualifications or requirements

Certificate III in Electrotechnology

Good electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills

A manual driver’s licence (required)

A strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments

Experience needed

Previous experience in underground mining role essential

Experience in repairing equipment, infrastructure, plant and underground operational areas

• Maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery within Underground operational areas
• Lead work groups and supervise contractors and apprentices
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment faults and breakdowns and conduct repairs as prioritised by supervisor.
• Inspections to be completed & escalation of issued passed on to supervisor
• Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
