About the role

As a Casual Driver within our Community Services team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting older people and people with disability to remain connected, independent and safe.

This role is about more than driving — it’s about being there for people when they need it most, delivering person-centred, respectful and compassionate service every day.

What you’ll be doing

• Safely transporting clients using St John fleet vehicles
• Assisting clients in and out of vehicles, including mobility aids
• Providing warm, professional and respectful customer service
• Completing basic run sheets and vehicle safety checks
• Representing St John’s mission and values in every interaction

What you’ll need

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record
• Queensland Driver Authorisation (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid & CPR, Blue Card, NDIS Yellow Card, and Police Check (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in community care, aged care, disability or customer-focused roles (highly regarded)
