About the role
As a Casual Driver within our Community Services team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting older people and people with disability to remain connected, independent and safe.
This role is about more than driving — it’s about being there for people when they need it most, delivering person-centred, respectful and compassionate service every day.
What you’ll be doing
- Safely transporting clients using St John fleet vehicles
- Assisting clients in and out of vehicles, including mobility aids
- Providing warm, professional and respectful customer service
- Completing basic run sheets and vehicle safety checks
- Representing St John’s mission and values in every interaction
Who we’re looking for
You’re someone who:
- Is genuinely aligned to our mission of helping others in times of need
- Has a caring nature and strong customer service skills
- Is calm, reliable and safety-focused
- Values dignity, respect and inclusion
- Works well as part of a collaborative, community-focused team
What you’ll need
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record
- Queensland Driver Authorisation (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR, Blue Card, NDIS Yellow Card, and Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in community care, aged care, disability or customer-focused roles (highly regarded)
