The Opportunity
TIIS is seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our Student Services team. This is a fast-paced and student-focused role that requires a positive, patient, and solution-focused approach. You will provide high-quality support to students, and a range of stakeholders, including internal staff and education agents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide frontline support at the reception desk, responding to student enquiries via face-to-face interaction, phone, and email.
- Maintain accurate and compliant student records in accordance with TEQSA Standards and ESOS Act.
- Support the delivery of student services to ensure efficient and seamless processes.
- Update student records, including attendance, academic progress, and other relevant information in student management system.
- Make appropriate referrals to relevant departments and provide services to support students particularly in relation to issues concerning attendance and academic progress of students.
- Assist with marketing activities and special events as required.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Full working rights in Australia
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Higher Education sector.
- Strong English proficiency (written and verbal)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural working environment.
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and legislative requirements related to student records and higher education.
- Familiarity with international student application and enrolment process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and edit professional documents and correspondence.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service and student support.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams etc.), and both student learning platform, and student management systems.
- Strong digital literacy and the ability to quickly learn and use new systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain great attention to details.
- A proactive, reliable and responsible approach, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally and respectfully.
- Positive, supportive, and student-focused attitude, with a commitment to creating a welcoming environment, and a commitment to enhancing student experience.
