Student Recruitment Officers serve as the first point of contact for prospective IHM students, providing guidance on course options, enrolment requirements, and student systems while supporting informed study and career decisions. The position also involves close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and college teams to support both domestic and international students.

Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reach out to prospective students from social media campaigns and direct website or phone enquiries, aiming to convert eligible candidates into enrolment.
  • Meet intake-specific enrolment targets and receive additional incentives for each successful enrolment.
  • Offer genuine advice to students, helping them select courses matched to their interests, educational history, and career aspirations.
  • Stay updated on Australian immigration rules regarding student and related visas.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of student visa conditions and understand differing requirements for onshore and offshore enrolments.
  • Meet students face-to-face on campus, conduct campus tours, and provide guidance.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Australian student visa processes and immigration requirement
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Target-driven mindset with a passion for achieving results
  • Ability to provide ethical, student-centred advice

Experience needed

  • At least two years in a similar role assisting international students with course selection
