Join Our Northern Territory Ambalindum Aggregation – located in the stunning East MacDonnell Ranges. This hands-on role is perfect for a reliable, down-to-earth cook who enjoys creating hearty, home-style meals and being part of a small, friendly station team. You’ll help keep the kitchen organised, assist with some baking, light housekeeping, and other station duties, contributing to a smooth-running, family-style environment.

The Opportunity

Join Hewitt Agribusiness as a Station Cook and play a vital role in keeping the team nourished and energised across the Ambalindum Aggregation. You’ll prepare meals for 5–6 people, manage kitchen routines, and assist with baking and general station upkeep. This hands-on role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to live and work in a remote, iconic rangeland environment.

What you will be doing

  • Cook hearty, wholesome meals for station staff and visitors
  • Assist with baking and meal prep for special occasions
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen
  • Support light housekeeping duties, including guest rooms
  • Help with watering gardens, lawns, and general station tasks

About You

You are practical, dependable, and enjoy working in a remote, hands-on environment. You take pride in cooking for groups, keeping spaces clean, and supporting a small, tight-knit team. Adaptable and proactive, you thrive on variety and enjoy the pace of station life, contributing wherever needed.

You will bring

  • Experience cooking for groups (station or remote experience an advantage)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A positive, practical attitude and willingness to help with varied tasks
  • Reliability and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Enthusiasm for living and working in a small station team
