JOB DETAILS:

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

The Position:

We are looking for experienced Casual Industrial Cleaners to join our team on Curtis Island, for shutdown work for approximately 5 weeks starting 1st May. You’ll be part of a supportive, professional crew that values safety, teamwork, and creating a positive work environment.

As part of the role, the ferry is paid for by us, you will also receive a free lunch on site, and the cost of medicals, training, and uniforms is covered by the company.

Responsibilities or duties:

• Cleaning offices, toilet blocks, tea shacks, and crib huts
• Completing rubbish collection and removal
• Restocking supplies
• Handling chemicals in accordance with safety standards

Qualifications or requirements:

The Person:

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous cleaning experience
• Hold a current White Card
• Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and drug & alcohol screen
• Be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have transport to reach the daily ferry
• Reside locally in Gladstone
