Responsibilities or duties
Reporting to the Blasting Supervisor you will be responsible for fundamentally contributing to the success of the blast team on site.
About the Role
- Ensuring Day to day field operations, including targets are met
- A safe and healthy workplace for all employees is maintained
- Community and Environmental compliance objectives are adhered to
- Transport and Delivery of dangerous goods is safely conducted
- Housekeeping in magazines, magazine compound, explosive vehicles and work areas are kept to high levels
Qualifications or requirements
Experience needed
A current NSW Security Clearance (UHL) and Shot firing Blasting Explosives Users Licence (EUL) for Open Cut Coal Mining
Experience in Shot firing operations using electronic and Nonel initiation systems
Experience in stock management and bulk material loading
Any other provided details
Lifestyle roster, day shift only
Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)
Collaborative communication skills
Ability to work in a fluid/dynamic environment as part of an adaptive team
Self-driven and able to work autonomously in the field
