Our Anglicare Shops are connection points in their local communities and sell a wide range of high quality, recycled clothing, and accessories at affordable prices. Our Shops provide a hub for the community and a safe place where you can drop in, feel valued and find a caring, listening ear.
Each of our Shop locations across Sydney are regularly re-stocked so there is always something different to discover. Many Shops are also linked with our local Anglican parishes, so you can find out about and connect with various church activities.
About the role:
We are seeking outstanding customer service focused Casual Shop Assistants to join our team at our Rozelle Op Shop on Friday & Saturdays. Someone who is motivated, energetic and passionate about making a real impact in the Community.
What You'll be doing:
- Ensure shop finances are always secure, and a safe workplace is maintained
- Provide excellent customer service and a holistic experience to customers
- Provide leadership to Volunteers and be a role model to engender an environment where Anglicare's mission and vision are embraced.
- Ensure Volunteers are supported and foster strong teamwork
- Complete and submit appropriate shop paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
About you:
- Previous experience in a retail environment and a valid Working with Children's Check (willing to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to relate to a diverse customer group with compassion and kindness
- Excellent customer service and retail experience
- Well-developed numeracy skills
