Background
The Service Sales & Support Specialist is responsible for scaling and drive the service business and service operation forward through DHR LEAN management approach, meeting operation metrics, ensuring resources optimization and timely reporting. He/She has overall accountability to build a profitable and sustainable service business, collaborate with sales operations to drive growth, effective management of service provider teams, as well as radically increasing customer satisfaction.
This position reports to the Service Manager, ANZ and is part of the service team in Australia located in Lane Cove, Sydney and will be an on-site role.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Drive service sales growth by identifying new market opportunities, engaging customers on Leica service offerings, and proposing technically and commercially sound service contracts.
- Manage service quotations, funnel forecasting, pricing reviews, and order follow‑up to ensure accurate revenue planning and timely Purchase Orders.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end service execution by tracking open cases, collaborating with field service teams and partners, escalating issues as needed, and driving continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Diploma in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field, with experience in inside sales, commercial support, or customer‑facing roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly for virtual/remote customer engagement.
- Highly organized with strong time and pipeline management skills; proficient in SAP, SFDC, and Microsoft Office tools.
Experience
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Life science/medical device industry service operations or customer support.
- Working with regional/global service teams or cross-functional commercial teams.
- Familiarity with tender/bid processes and quotation management is highly preferred.
