About Otic Group
“Otic” means smart people doing smart work, together.
We are a wholly owned Australian company committed to helping our clients design and build intelligent software solutions that unlock value in their business.
Otic Group was formed to provide talented technology professionals an opportunity to work with not only some of the most prominent companies in Australia, but work with incredibly talented peers in an exciting, dynamic young environment.
We provide highly skilled expertise in Data & Analytics, Cloud Strategy, Application Modernisation, and Cybersecurity.
Role Overview
We’re looking for Senior Data Modellers to lead the design, development, and governance of data models that will power our client’s strategic transformations. This is a high-impact role that bridges business strategy with technical implementation, enabling data-driven decision making at scale.
Working closely with Data Architects, Engineers, and Analysts, you’ll be responsible for delivering enterprise-level data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) across complex ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Lead master data mapping and data dissemination across platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align models with business and technical requirements.
- Support enterprise data strategies across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Contribute to a Data Modelling Centre of Excellence — defining best practices, tools, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance frameworks.
- Assist in the evolution of enterprise data architectures and target-state data capabilities.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data modelling or enterprise data architecture.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, MDM, and modern cloud ecosystems.
- Proficient in data modelling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Vault, Mesh).
- Skilled in tools like Erwin, Sparx EA, or similar.
- Experienced in metadata management, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping.
- Confident translating business requirements into elegant, usable data designs.
- Proven ability to mentor and influence modelling practices in large-scale environments.
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with Kafka, Salesforce, Adobe Campaign, or Informatica MDM.
- Experience in large scale enterprise environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML, data governance, security, or advanced analytics.
Over and above having these technical skills, you will also have a strong passion and flair for creating professional prototypes and dashboards.
Being a Melbourne based organisation, we’re looking for our team to be based locally. We also require applicants to hold an Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency (PR), or have other permanent work rights.
