About the Role

This role sits within the Research & Analysis (R&A) team and focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making for corporate banking portfolios.

You will be responsible for data monitoring, reporting, and analysis across assigned client portfolios and regions. The role involves working with large datasets, tracking performance, identifying trends or deviations, and presenting insights to support business and risk management outcomes.

You will also play a key role in preparing portfolio reviews and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed through accurate and timely reporting. Over time, the role provides an opportunity to build deeper knowledge in credit processes and corporate credit assessment.

What will your day look like?

As an Senior Analyst, your accountabilities include:

  • Data Management & Reporting: Collect, extract, and manage data from multiple sources (internal systems, CRM, CSV files) and support portfolio reviews (WMSR)
  • Excel-Based Reporting: Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports, trackers, and dashboards using advanced Excel
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial and client data to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights
  • PowerPoint Presentations: Convert data into clear and impactful presentations for management reviews, highlighting key KPIs and variances
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Use Excel tools (formulas, Pivot Tables, Macros/VBA) to improve reporting efficiency
  • Data Quality & Accuracy: Ensure all reports are accurate, complete, and delivered within timelines
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and communicate insights clearly
  • R&A Process Knowledge: Build understanding of credit processes and systems (e.g., OCP, NOVA, Razor, Orion, Credit Lens)
  • Credit Support (Progressive): Over time, support basic credit-related activities and develop skills to contribute to credit memos and notes.

  • Experience:4+ years of total work experience in corporate credit, including areas such as financial analysis, credit assessment, or portfolio monitoring
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial and non-financial data and present insights clearly
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and strong numerical ability
  • Learning Agility: Keen to learn credit processes and develop domain expertise
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to work across stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships across teams
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • Team Player: Organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented
